ReasonsEase of hanging it.
ReasonsActually this stand and the Loc On Super Spirit are not permanent stands but are classifed as portable. The Aero-Lite is nice in that you can hang several of the fastening chains at several locations and then just move one stand from one location to another as necessary
ReasonsQuiet, Easy to assemble and take down, relatively light, strong and stable.
ReasonsReasonably easy to assemble, somewhat heavy, stable climbing, someproblems assembling and taking down
ReasonsGood stand however can be cumbersome to set up. It is really not a permanant stand, but it is inexpensive enough that you can afford to hand 3 - 4 of them and use them accordingly. It is also a good Gun Hunting stand.
ReasonsI own a couple of stands, the predator is my favorite. Easy to use and quiet
ReasonsQuiet, stable, Quite and Quite... Also light and easy to pack
ReasonsVery comfortable, secure, quiet, packs well, but a bit time consuming to set up.
ReasonsNoisy (not welded), extremely difficult to set up (blades), heavy (26# with accessories), cumbersome to backpack
Reasonsawesome comfort, easy to climb, only draw back is the weight
ReasonsTheir stands are aluminum and very easy to carry and hassle with but if you don't know how to make them stable on the tree they do slip, the tips of the base don't have a sharp point to dig into the tree bark and hold them steady like the designs by Screaming Eagle. Be careful stepping onto them because it's ugly when you fall down.
ReasonsThis stand is very stable and quiet and easy to climb with.
ReasonsThis is a very stable tree stand, very easy to put up but also very heavy. You need 2 people to put it up.
ReasonsExcellent safety features, shooting stability, compact, easy to carry quiet, fast setup
ReasonsIt's light (approx 11.5 lbs), easy to hang on - you can use a screw in mounting pin or strap on bracket to hold in place, stable, quite, the seat swivels but could be more comfortable.
ReasonsAfter many years in field with plywood stands you can bet that i'm a proud owner of a VERY GOOD quality climbing stand. It will be the fouth years that i have it an nothing bad to say about it. Just get one it realy worth the price.
ReasonsIt is not heavy (?I have had back surgery twice). Folds flat to carry. Climbs quietly, comfortable net seat, very strong, (I am 290+ lbs), very stable, quick, quiet and easy to set up. I have owned and or used at least 20 different tree climbers, including Summit (excellent quality but to small for me), Tree Lounge (VERY Comfortable but to hard to set up, to heavy to carry with my back, and to hard to climb with for me), Bakers, Warren and Sweat, API etc. I have yet to find one I like better.
Reasons1. Safety. The Buckfinder stand that I own is very solid. It's strength and rigidity make me feel SAFE. 2.Comfort. Because of the stands strength & support, I feel comfortable sitting or standing in it. The swivel seat allows for smooth and silent turning. The Stand is lightweight enough to carry virtually anywhere. 3.Features. Because of this stand's design, I can hang it in any tree I want. I find the trail I want to hunt on and put my stand in the tree of my choice. I dont have to find a trail by a "nice tree". This is a big issue to me. I can even put my stand in a crooked, or bent over tree, no problem. This stand is very quick and easy to attach to a tree.It is the best stand I have ever used. I like it enough to buy some stock in the company.
ReasonsLightweight, very easy setup, very stable, also quiet. I highly recommend it!
Reasons
ReasonsAlthough I did take a four-pointer from it in my first year bowhunting...Blades extremely noisy and cumbersome...it was the only deer I saw all season...Gripping points gouge tree bark (Illegal here in tree-hugging Vermont). I'll be looking for a new one this year.
Reasonslight,quiet,sturdy and quick to tree
Reasonsthis is a rock solid stand, easy to use, comfortable, and isn't to expensive
ReasonsI have used/owned many different brands of climbing stands over the years, and this stand is the absolute quietest, safest, most comfortable stand i have used.Very easy to set up and take down.
ReasonsThe cable makes it super quiet, plus for convenience especially in the dark you only have one side to attach on each section. The net seat is very comfortable and can be moved or adjusted where ever you need to. It climbs a tree like a squirrel. It folds up for backpacking real flat and I can shake mine to death and it won't make a sound so its very quiet to backpack in. With the cable gripping so much of the tree and the straps gripping the rest, you would have to jump up and down on thing to get it to move. You can get an Ol'Man weighing from 17-23 lbs. They have them with a bar around you, or the bar as a footrest/backrest.
ReasonsComfortable, safe, and quiet, although a bit heavy!
ReasonsStand sets up in under a minute. Super quiet. Climbs like a cat squirrel. Use it facing tree for gun hunting, & away from tree for Bow. Very compact & easy to carry. I have a $250 brand new Warren & Sweat Executive that I never use.
ReasonsHeavy ... I mean heavy. I am 6'4" 225 pounds, & this stand kills me carrying it through the woods. It is impossible to set up before light. Noisy. Unstable at any height. A 6 year old child could not design a worse stand. It is comfortable sitting and reading a book, which is all you will do after hanging this noisy rascal.
ReasonsOnly 10 ft high. I bought an extension to gain more height and a section bent into a u-shape and then the stand collapsed. Fortunately, I was only up one or two steps when the section bent inwards. I had braced it per the instructions. I sent a letter to the manufacturer and got no response. In my view this is an unsafe stand and shouldn't be on the market.
ReasonsBear River climbing stick is 12 foot high and each 3 foot section gets strapped to tree making the installed stick very, very stable and safe. It can hold 300 lbs. My River's Edge Bandit treestand, which has one vertical seat post, slips right over the top of the Bear River Stick like they were made for one another. Result? The Bandit is strapped to the tree, and since it's supported by the Bear River Stick, it doesn't slip down the tree. The whole unit is very stable, safe, and can be quietly and quickly setup. Extra sections are available to go higher and each section gets strapped to the tree to provide a stable stand.
ReasonsI Don't Know how this stand is, But before I purchase this one I would like to see what the rating is.
ReasonsThis stand has it all. Comfort, quiet, lightweight, easy to assembly, safe, reliable and versitile . Of all the stands I have bought or made, this is without a doubt, the best investment I have made on hunting equipment. My wife doesn't like it because she knows when I leave the house I'll be gone until the sun goes back down.
ReasonsThist stand has done well for me as a good means to relocate easily. It assembles fairly quickly once you have gotten familiar with it and can move things around fairly quitely. It does have a tendency to be a bit noisy and when extremely cold have a tendency to kreak. All and all it has been a reliable stand and has been supporting me for the taking of a number of deer as well as one nice Buck while on my Back with the Bow. I wasn't to sure if the Stand would be in the way as I drew my Bow back all I could do was hope that it didn't, sure enough the Summit Stand rides comfortably enough and far enough back that it didn't hinder my draw, unfortunately for that Buck!
ReasonsThe Loc-On brand Tree Stand has been an excellent stand thus far for me. It is typicaly a verry quite stand to sit in unlike some that I have been in that squeak and moan when cold or when you shift your weight, it's hard enough when you need to move on an Animal with out having to worry about whether that movement will be exaspirated by a kreak. They are a bit noisy to set up as there Loc-On Chain has a tendency to swing around and cling and clank against the stand while climbing up to set up. It is relitively easy to set up in the Tree once you're up there once you are use to it. It does take a little bit, to figure out how to manuever the stand to ceep it up against the tree with out it swinging around on you. All around though I have had good luck with the Loc-Ons I have bought so far and use them regurally throughout the Hunting Seasons. During the Duck Hunting Season, Hunting Flooded Timber it doubles as a Retriever Platform for my Lab, it's just big enough to give her a place to sit rather than standing beside me in the water. It gets a bit cold.
ReasonsI HAVE TRIED MANY STANDS OVER THE YEARS. I HAVE NEVER FOUND ONE AS COMFORTABLE AS THIS ONE. I AM ABLE TO SIT IN THIS STAND FROM BEFORE DAY LIGHT UTILL DARK WITH EASE. IT ALSO WEIGHS ONLY 21 LBS WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO CARRY IT GREAT DISTANCES WITH LITTLE EFFORT. THE CABLE SYSTEM IS GREAT BECAUSE IT NOT ONLY MAKES THE STAND MUCH MORE STABLE THAN THE STANDARD BLADE TYPES BUT, IT ALSO ALLOWS A MUCH GREATER CHOICE OF TREE DIAMETERS TO USE. THIS STAND IS PRICED MORE THAN MOST (ABOUT 229.OO) BUT I BELIEVE IT IS WORTH IT. I ALSO USE IT FOR BOW HUNTING AND IT IS EXCELLENT, BUT I BELIEVE THAT THEIR "SHOOTING STAR" MODEL FOR BOW HUNTERS WOULD BE EVEN BETTER.
Reasonsthing broke with me, broke 5 ribs stayed 4 days in hospital, plus lost the buck of my dreams.
Reasonsi like to sleep while i hunt

Reasons
ReasonsI'VE HAD MANY STANDS IN THE LAST TWENTY YEARS OF HUNTING AND CAN HONESTLY SAY THIS IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE I'VE EVER BEEN IN A TREE. WITH A GOOD BIT OF PRACTICE THE STAND SETS UP EASILY AND IS A BREEZE TO CLIMB IN.
ReasonsMOST COMFORTABLE STAND EVER MADE!
Reasonsuse it for fifteen years and no problems, seat is uncomfortable and small.
ReasonsI have 7 portable stands and I have used at least that many more over the years. this is by far the most comfortable and durable. It packs well but it is a little heavy if you hunt in hill country like me
ReasonsThis stand is hard to climb and offers little stability
ReasonsThe Bigshot treestand is very comfortable compared many different treestands. It's very quiet and easy to manipulate. I look forward to spending my mornings soaring high with the bigshot treestand. The padded arm rest offers an incredible feature.
ReasonsThis is a rock-solid chain-on treestand. A little heavy , but VERY sturdy once it is secured to the tree. The adjustable turnbuckles are perfect for slightly crooked trees. Most importantly, this stand is quiet.
ReasonsIt climbs easily, it is comfortable and very stable. easily carried to hunting locations and is very quiet. Another aspect is that there are no parts to lose. (no knobs or bolts)
ReasonsGreat stand once it's set up but difficult to carry.
ReasonsVery nice stand. Comfort cannot be beat. A little heavy for long hikes. Paid $350.00 for the stand and all the accessories i could need with it. I use it for bowhunting ans rifle hunting. It is also a little noisy when setting up, but i feel i need more practice with it. You HAVE to put it together in a certain order, or start over. I would ighly reccomend it to anyone!!!
ReasonsI have one and from experience in it and how easy it is to set up and take down and climb, it is very good. It is also very comfortable for extended hunting and viewing.
ReasonsTHE LOGGY CLIMBING STAND IS STRONG,STURDY,AND BEST OF ALL LIGHT WEIGHT.ALSO IT IS FAIRLY QUIET WHEN CLIMBING THE TREE AND WHEN YOU SECURE IT TO THE TREE WHEN YOU REACH YOU DESIRED HEIGHT. TWO THUMBS UP !
ReasonsAlthough it is a little heavy, you can't beat a stand for comfort. Allows you to hunt long periods of time with comfort and ease. Holds you gun for you with brakets, and keeps quite.
ReasonsAlthough it's a little heavy, it gives ulitimate comfort allowing for long hunts. Holds your gun for you with brakets, and is quite.
ReasonsI and my wife have been hunting for 22 years and tried as many as 20 tree stands.. This product is the best of class in comfort, safety, and ease of use. It may be a little heavy 25lbs + extras.. But well worth the comfort and safety that it offers. It's very stable and quiet when set up(I weigh 240 and wife 115). I feel very safe in it and often climb to 30+ feet. I never felt safe enough in other stand to go that high.
Reasons
ReasonsSolid and stable. Like standing on a piece of concrete. It's not hard to install.
ReasonsI't want slip it's very, very comfortable and light weight and It's just what it says it is.It's like having a lazy boy up in a tree setting in it and the funny thing is.Is when I come down after being up there all day I can't even tell I've been in a tree stand.I love it!!!!!
ReasonsHave had it for 4 seasons now, nothing really to complain about,Easy to carry, fairly lightweight, sturdy, quiet set-up, very comfortable seat. Optional footrest is very comfortable if you are tall.
ReasonsThis is a light well designed stand that is light, easy to put on a tree, and climbs well. What puts it in only the fair catagory is the fact that it has a lot of parts that are bolted together and are hard to keep quiet. My stand creaks when I shift my weight and always has.I have replaced all the bushings and still have the same noise. The last company rep I talked to about my problem was a horses behind and turned me against any future purchases from the company( now out of business). This year I retired the Loggy and bought an API bowhunter.Havn't used it yet so I can't rate it.
ReasonsThe stand is fairly stable but the seat is not very comfortable. It also tends to creak at colder temps. (It cost me a buck during our 97 rifle season). Overall though, it is a decent hanging stand. I've used it for 4 years now. It is true, You get what you pay for. It hunts like a stand under 100 bucks.
ReasonsVery comfortable! I feel totaly safe up there. Climbing is easy once you practice a little. Somewhat heavy (I have the larger version), but it's small price to pay to be able to sit all day long.
ReasonsI use the Tree Lounge whether I'm bowhunting or riflehunting. Some may feel it's a bit heavy, but it totes compactly, is really easier to tote than some lighter stands. It's quiet while carrying it, and quiet in the tree. Most any stand can be a bit noisy setting up, but this stand can be set up quietly, too. And, it can be set up quickly. Climbs and descends more safely than many stands. The comfort I find it hard to believe can be beat. I hunt all day sometimes, cannot imagine having to endure any other stand for an all-day hunt. And, yes, if you get sleepy you can sleep, and unless you suffer super spasms, you won't/can't fall out once you're settled, even without a safety belt (always wear the belt, of course). It's easy to get into and out of. It can be used in more of a sitting position, or has a block of wood that you can use to 'make the tree bigger' to almost lie in it up there. I bought a Bigshot after I bought my Lounge, like it fine, but use my Lounge 98% of the time. I've even taken my son up with me on several occasions when he was 7, 8, & 9, and safely, though the manufacturer would not recommend that. You may have figured out by now, I highly recommend the Tree lounge.
ReasonsMy Buckfinder Ambusher hanging treestand is the best stand that I have ever been in. It is so solid on the tree, it just plain doesnt move. It also sets up in crooked trees. And I have never been in a more comfortable seat. Big platform. Ive used many different stands over the years api loc on.....etc. none compare to this buckfinder. Reasons
ReasonsEASY TO PUT IN TREE EASY TO HANG NICE SIZE COMFORTABL
ReasonsI really like this stand because I got it free. My fatherinlaw buys me ever
ReasonsIt is a multi- fuction treestand, shelter, carrys in and out game and gear it has a trailer hitch to transport treestand, and hitch for my atv
ReasonsThe stand seems to flex when in the tree. When in seat assembly is in place if you stand up you only have about 6 inches to move your feet. If you bump the arms of the seat it will move some times it would drop an inch or two. When moving around on platform to shoot behind or to the side the stand would lean and spring feels very unsafe. Had it for 10 days and could never get the feeling of being safe in it.
Reasonslight weight, quite, solid, easy climbing
Reasons
ReasonsWith just a little practice it's easy to set up.It's a fast and quiet climber and when I woke up the first time I was still in the tree and not on the ground.
ReasonsStable, quiet, just a great stand!
ReasonsThis is a basic two tier climber with a platform and reversable (to or away from tree) padded wooden seat. It weighs probably 15+ lbs. Some things I don't like: 1.The large handle nuts and bolts which adjust and secure the bite bar are easy to drop in the dark. 2. Carrying is uncomfortable, but manageable for short distances. 3. The seat is attached with two small wing nuts which can be easily dropped and lost. I found that replacing the wing nuts with clip-on (spring) nuts greatly reduces the chances of dropping one. Some things I like: 1. Setting up and climbing, with practice, can be done relatively quickly and quietly. 2. It feels secure once up, despite not having some kind of swing away locking device (i.e. rubber straps, which can be added). 3. Has good foot straps which make it feel secure and aid in a speedy climb. This is my first stand, ever, so comparing it to other stands is difficult, but I did quite a bit of homework before I made the purchase. I think that it will be hard to beat without spending significantly more money. I chose a climber over a fixed stand because I hunt mostly public lands on a day-to-day basis.
ReasonsLight,Quiet,Easy to Operate
ReasonsThe Loggy Bayou climber, good climber and it holds good. I bought the climbing aid though and I fell, be careful with the climbing aid as sometimes it does not hold when you are going up the tree!
ReasonsVery Stable and strong
ReasonsIt's to heavy!!! After spending that much money in a stand, it should come painted. to hard to set up. hard to climb. i'll give it one thing, it is comfortable.
ReasonsLarge platform and comfortable seat. Very easy to set up.
Reasonseasy comfortable but a pain to put together
ReasonsExcellent stand. Comfortable (I usually hit the woods early and catch a nap in it for about an hour). Not too hard to put up, except in the dark it takes a while to get to know what you are doing.
Reasons
ReasonsThis is my first year to bowhunt, so I'm no expert yet. We put up 8 stands on our property for bow season and this is my favorite. The seat is bigger than most and pretty comfortable but the foot area is what I like, lots of room. I'm a little afraid of heights and was worried about hunting 20 ft up but once I climbed up and sat in this one i had no problems. My favorite so far.

Had a great opening weekend and I really think it was due to the fact that I felt so comfortable and safe.
Reasons
ReasonsI have used this stand for two seasons and I find it to be comfortable and quiet. However, this season I had been sitting for about three hours and a few deer came up from behind me. As I turned around to get a better look and the vinyl covering the seet made a loud noise and the deer took off.
ReasonsTHIS STAND WEIGHS 11 POUNDS AND IS VERY EASY TO BACKPACK IN AND OUT OF THE WOODS. IT IS VERY EASY TO SET UP AND VERY EASY TO CLIMB WITH. IT IS ALSO SPIKELESS, SO IT CAN BE HUNTED IN AREAS WHERE SPIKES ARE PROHIBITED. I LIKE THIS STAND MOST OF ALL BECAUSE THE REINFORCEMENT STRAPS ARE ON THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE STAND WHERE THE SEAT IS LOCATED. I'VE HUNTED OTHER CLIMBING STANDS WHERE THE TOP HALF IS REINFORCED BECAUSE THE SEAT IS LOCATED ON THIS PART, BUT THE BOTTOM TENDED TO SHIFT WHEN YOU STOOD UP. ALSO THE LOGGY LITE IS VERY DURABLE. I HAVEN'T REPLACED ANY PARTS IN 9 YEARS.
Reasons
Reasonsquietness, carrying weight, ability to get in and out of the woods and trees extremly comfortable for four orfive hours.
ReasonsI have fallen from other stands. They tended to slip from the tree. I am very pleased with my Loggy. I like the fact that the treestand doesn't hurt the tree. While hunting in NY i have noticed that most landowners don't want you using climbing treesatnds because they mark the trees- not the Loggy. I probably use my stand around forty times a year and have had the stand for three years- no problems.

ReasonsThe tree Lounge is an excellent stand; however, I would highly recommend anyone who climbs with a lounge to use a different foot climber. It makes the job of moving up and down much less stressful on your legs while having the safety of the lounge itself. Although the price seems a bit high considering the simplicity in design, the tree lounge is worth the money. I don't feel safe using the wood block. Now they have an attachment that replaces the wood block to change the angle of lean. It is ,however, another 60 bucks to spend. Sometimes you must raise the stand above the base of the tree to fasten it close enough to have a comfortable lean while climbing high -this process is slightly agitating.
ReasonsLight weight, easy setup, climbs good, not comfortable after a period of time.
ReasonsMy stand is an older one but, it has held up well. It is heavy to carry up a mountain and not that easy to put up in the dark(due to the wing nuts). However, it is fairly steady and roomy. Overal it is good.
Reasons
Reasons
ReasonsI have had the stand for eight years now and have had no ploblems at all. I have climbed in wet conditions and experienced no slipping. The stand is light weight and versatile, I have used it as a climber and as a lock on stand. The climbing aid is out of the way when set up and makes climbing much easier than without. I am currently looking at purchasing my third "Loggy". My old ones are locked in place as lock on's and I just want the added comforts of the newer model. thanks for coming backinto business.
Reasonsthe tree lounge is comfortable and quite, the more comfort the more deer you kill. i have killed 6 bucks since i bought this stand and two of them have been huge 8 points
Reasonsvery easy to hang and very sturdy once your in it
Reasons
ReasonsStand does not stay in position and has a very good chance of falling on you while climbing. It fell on me while I was in the middle of a climb.
ReasonsVery safe, comfortable, and well built. Can just about safely sleep in it! Have bowshot many deer out of it sitting down and standing up.
ReasonsEasy to climb up but nearly impossible getting down. Standing platform is so small it's hard to even stand up and face the tree! A safety line is a must with this stand.
Reasonsit is the most comfortable stand on the market which lets you stay in your stand all day
ReasonsGREAT SITE THANKS IT HELPED ALOT!!
ReasonsPositives: Comfort, safety, shooting ease Negatives: Price, weight, bulk, not painted Comments: I have the "Margaret's Special" which includes everything including the tree nest, sniper's shack, bow stand, accessory bag and wheels. You almost have to roll it to your tree because of the weight. This setup costs $500+. For that price, it should come with a theft proof cable to tie it down and already painted in camo. Overall, I have to say it is the best built and safest stand I've seen or used.
ReasonsMy stand is awesome; quiet and super sturdy! Sometimes though I do nod off while I'm in it (oh yea...it's also quite comfortable)! My only problem so far is that the "shrink-tubing" keeps wearing through. No problem (so far...); I just call the great folks at API and they send me a new set.
ReasonsEasy, light, quit, portable, rock solid and best of all it's not a TREE LOUNGER!!!!
ReasonsTHE TREE LOUNGE LETS ME HUNT LONG, HIGH AND COMFORTABLE. I HAVE ENJOYED MUCH SUCCESS WITH THIS STAND.
ReasonsI've tried alot of different tree stands, and the Ol' Man Vision is by far the most comfortable and easy to set up. I really like the net seat and the one sided adjustment. I can easily sit in this stand for hours.
ReasonsI got suckered in by Tree Lounge's 30 minute commercials on the Outdoor Channel. The stand was heavy, loud, and nearly impossible to set up and climb with, not to mention that it came UNPAINTED. I don't know how anybody can sell a piece of junk like that, at that price, and still sleep at night. Needless to say, I sent the stand back.
