day Bow-Building Class at Stockbridge Sportsmans Club
located
on Rte. 102 West Stockbridge,Massachusetts (most Western end of Mass)
with Ted Fry of Raptor Archery,Hood River,Oregon.
Sat & Sun JUNE 21+22 approx time 8am-5pm.
This class is limited to 10 students and each student will be building an
all wood longbow or flat-bow of Hickory or Vine-Maple the cost per student
$300.00 and each will leave class with shootable bow and bow scraper of Ted
Fry's design ($25 value).Osage & Yew Wood available $50 extra.Students only
need to supply bow vise,or bow horse with clamps or work-mate workbench
style unit.
Those participating are welcome to stay in clubhouse starting Friday night
for the weekend or tent outside,we have shower,cooking facilities and in the
evenings will be shooting (bring a bow,arrows etc),swapping stories and
watching some cool videos.This class has been close to 2 years in the making
and what at treat to be able to attend a class with Ted and hang around him
for a weekend ! Also those interested are also invited to join myself & Ted
the day after the class up to Quebec 23-29 to hunt Black Bears with the bows
we make in the class,contact me for more details on hunt.
