   GASS in the News!!

Thank you to all who attended! Many of you helped out by bringing food or drinks, or in other ways, and believe us, it was most appreciated. We'd appreciate it if you'd help us put your "real names" with your Stickbow "handles."

A very special "thank-you" to Mr. Andy Roberts, the owner of Truro Haunts, who graciously allowed us to use the Club for the shoot. The facilities are simply outstanding.

GASS was held on January 15, 2000 in Roanoke County, VA

Come join some of Virginia's traditional archers for the Great American Stump (or squirrel) Shoot on Saturday, January 15, 2000. The shoot is open to everyone, and directions and details are available by e-mailing Keith Martin

The GASS shoot is informal and all recurve and longbow shooters are invited to join the shooting. Anyone interested in traditional archery will find this to be a great opportunity to learn a lot.

Havens wildlife refuge has several thousand acres and is in walking distance for those who would like to try for some late season bushytails.
The club grounds are open for use as well. There are approx. 2 miles of jeep roads on the property. These roads give easy access to the best stump shooting around.

The gates will open at 9:30 am and will close when the last arrow is declared lost.

This is also a great opportunity for a swap meet, so bring those items that have been collecting dust in the closet.

This website will be the contact point in case on inclement weather. Check the site before leaving home to make sure it has not been rained/snowed out.

Please sign the guest book if you plan to come so we will know how many to expect.

See you there.
